Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority, otherwise known as CLOCA, is one of the 36 conservation authorities responsible for protecting and maintaining watershed resources across Ontario, Canada - and CLOCA had a problem. Their website was aging and, as with many larger sites, had become a little unwieldy over time. Their page hierarchy made it difficult to find what you were looking for and visitor/activity information about CLOCA’s 8 remarkable conservation areas was difficult to find. But that was the least of their worries! Canada’ own ACA (Accessible Canada Act) became law in 2019 and all governmental organizations were required to align with WCAG standards. Enter SA Solutions.

We were able to work closely with the wonderful CLOCA Team to:

• Pay close detail to WCAG compliance, from the elemental level of the site right through language and tracking.

• Deliver a CMS-driven, searchable platform for CLOCA’s fabulous educational program, servicing the school children of Ontario, from grades K through 12

• Creating a protected Filing System for the many documents that CLOCA is legally bound to provide to the public regarding water safety and more

Today, the CLOCA site is beautiful, accessible, and easy-to-navigate.
